Happy New Year Everyone🎉🎊🥳
I mean, it is a new year, right? Or is it too late to still be saying 'Happy New Year? I've read online over the years people put a time limit on how far into the year folks can say 'Happy New Year'. To a degree, I get it. But, nah, let people be. I would say we have the entire month of January before we have to lay the new year greetingsto rest. However, there may be some folks that say there should be more time. I think they may be a bit off, though. LOL.
No, but seriously... Happy New Year! It's Monday, January 13th. We're 13 days into 2025, and there's already a bunch of stuff happening. But isn't there always a bunch of stuff happening? I remember I asked French artist, and dear brother, Michel Pascal during an interview back in 2023, why there seemed to be more tragedies around the world and his answer was perfect. He said, "There are always tragedies happening around the world. Before, we just didn't hear about it all because there was no technology like today. But today, with everyone having the world in their hands with social media, we all hear about all the tragedies almost instantly." He's right. His response spoke to a philosophy and truth that exists, "When it is light in some places, it is dark in other places, and when it is dark in some places, indeed it is light in other places." The pendulum is always swinging. Things are always in motion. Know that. We just gotta develop the right mindset to be able to endure and grow through the challenges.
Anyway, I told myself at the end of 2024 that I wanted to start writing on my website, blogging so to speak, more in 2025. Like, I'm paying a good amount of money for this website, I might as well use it. Yet, I still haven't written an article this year. We're 13 days in and this is the first time I'm opening the app on my phone. I have to be more disciplined and more focused. I know that I have all the tools and resources needed to create the life I ultimately dream of for myself, my family, my friends, my community, and the world as a whole. I have a big vision for the world. And I have no doubt that I'll make the vision manifest, some of it in my lifetime, and the rest when I'm gone. I just have to work harder.
I know that my success lies in my consistency, as well as in my discipline and ability to focus on a thing until it's complete. Also, I have to remember that progress is better than perfection and when it comes to writing on my website, it's better to have a short post, than it is to have no post at all. My goal is to write at least one post on my website daily. I also want to use my website as a hub for folks to be able to publish their own articles. This will only happen with me being consistent.
So, here's to accountability, consistency, discipline, focus, and growth for 2025 and beyond. We're going to build something epic!!!
