This event is taking place just five (5) days before my 40th birthday, and on the seventeenth (17th) anniversary of my freedom. On March 9th, 2007, I walked out of Queensborough Correctional Facility, with a remembered dream, some hope, and a few dollars. Things didn't go smoothly for me as just a few months later, I was back in the streets, doing what I was used to doing. The difference though this time, was my mind. For the first time in a long time, I had a legit focus.
Life threw a plethora of curveballs at me - physical health challenges, financial struggles, deaths of family and close friends, family struggles, a failed marriage, and so much more. In this talk, I detail how I remained positive and optimistic through all the chaos, and how the little acts of good I would do, even while engulfed in my own challenges, would have monumental karmic pay-off.
Ultimately, I crafted the life I dreamed of as a little boy. Now, we're just adding on to the legacy. #DreamsDoComeTrue
